Comfort food

It has been raining cats and dogs so I am down with flu and cough. This is my ultimate comfort food when I'm sick. Tomato soup with chicken, potatoes and beans. Put lots of garlic in it to fight the flu and eat it with soft rice. Hope I can recover fast.

DIY Cloud Dough


I made cloud dough for Caca and it is the best thing I have ever done! You don't have to buy kinetic sand ever with this dough.

The recipe only calls for 2 things: 8 cups of flour and 1 cup of oil (I used corn oil). Mixed them up and walllaah; You get your own cloud dough. Try it guys, it's so easy and cheaper too. You can simply throw it away after using it. I have kept it in the sand pit for 2 weeks and it is still okay.

Hubby made a sandpit for caca to play the dough. 



You can easily shape the dough. Its texture is like soft sand.




Otak-otak daun kaduk

This is my late grandma's recipe. It is one of my favorite dishes. After so many years, i managed to do it myself. Hubby cakap sedap!

Ni resepinya. Insya  Allah sedap.

Otak-Otak
A 1 ulas Bawang besar
3 ulas Bawang putih
3-4 ulas bawang merah
5 cili hidup
1 inci kunyit hidup
¼ inchi lengkuas
3 batang serai
3-4 biji buah keras
sedikit belacan jintan manis

Santan perahan pertama dari 1 biji kelapa
1 keping asam keping

C
3 biji telur
3 keping ikan tenggiri

Daun kadok Daun ketumbar – di hiris halus-halus
Daun limau purut- di hiris halus-halus
Daun kunyit- di hiris halus-halus
Daun ubi – di rebus dan dibuang air rebusan (saya tak pakai daun ubi)
Daun pisang untuk dibungkus


Mesin bahan-bahan A . Apabila halus, campur dengan bahan-bahan B dan masak diatas api.
Masuk separuh dari hirisan daun kunyit, daun ketumbar dan daun limau purut.
Kacau selalu supaya santan tidak berminyak..
Selepas 10 minit masukkan ketulan ikan dan masak selama 5 minit sambil dikacau selalu.

Angkat isi ikan detempat yang berasingan dan biarkan kuah masak diatas api hingga pekat sambil dikacau selalu. Isi ikan diperisi dari tulang dan kulit.

Susun daun kaduk dan daun ubi didalam bekas kukusan atau sarung daun pisang dan letakkan isi ikan diatas daun.

Kuah yang telah pekat di biarsejuk seketika. Kemudian dicampur dengan telur yang telah dipukul.

Cedok kuah campuran telur keatas isi ikan dan taburkan hirisan daun kunyit dan daun limau purut. Kukus hingga masak selama 20 minit.
